Shut Up and Take My Money

..is what people seem to say when your favourite band from back in the day puts out one of their albums with a "remastered" sticker on it. And an extra track. And a tacky badge. The sicker should just say TOO FOOKIN' LOUD. The following example is in no way a criticism of the band, of whom I am a big fan and supporter, but not of the commercial practice of making something you already own WORSE, and then persuading you to buy it AGAIN. Like there's something wrong with the product you bought in the first place. I'll have a refund of the original purchase price, then.

My NSFL version is 3.0 db less loud than the 2016 reissue. You might want to run a DR (dynamic range) meter on it, too. Disclaimer: for demonstration purposes only:- you must own the 2016 reissue of the track to make a comparison. And I've taken a small liberty with the track, too.

The reissue contained a second disc with demos of the album on it. That's legit. Fans will pay money for that ( even if they are a bit rubbish - thats why they are demos).
